Train conductor hospitalized in railway assault

Two NS employees had to be treated in hospital after being assaulted on the station in Almere on Sunday morning. The perpetrator has been arrested. At around 08:30 a.m. a conductor asked to see a man's ticket on the train to Vlissingen. The man could not present a ticket. Another conductor came to help, but the man would not cooperate and threatened the conductors. He was put off the train at the Almere Centrum station and handed over to the NS control team. The man became aggressive and assaulted two employees. The police were called in and arrested the man, a 33 year old from Almere. The two assaulted employees were taken to the hospital.
