First Amsterdam auto show in years draws 292,000 visitors

A total of 291,717 people visited AutoRAI 2015, the largest auto show in the Netherlands, which took place between April 17th and 26th. That is an increase of more than 21 thousand compared to the number of people that visited the 2011 edition, the event organizers announced on their website on Sunday. "The high visitor numbers to AutoRAI2015 were without precedence", according to Roelant Groen, the exhibition manager for the event. "No other paid consumer event in the Netherlands attracts as many visitors. After the cancellation of the event in 2013, we can unequivocally say that the AutoRAI has made a great comeback. The event featured 500 cars as well as other activities, including the Outdoor Park, Race Hall, AutoRAI Classic and the InnovationLab. According to the organizers, the event was a great success. Both visitors and exhibitors showed a lot of enthusiasm for the new setup and the event received an average score of 8 or higher in post-show surveys. The next AutoRAI event will take place in Amsterdam in 2017, from March 30th to April 9th.
