An accident during a car show in Purmerend on Sunday left three men injured. They were spectators at the car show on Newtonstraat when the driver of a BMW M3 lost control of his car and crashed into them. The driver, a 39-year-old man from Purmerend, was arrested, the police said in a statement.
The Amsterdam car show AutoRAI scheduled for 2017 has been cancelled. "It now appears there are too few brands willing to participate in order to organize the next edition of AutoRAI in 2017", the organizers write on the AutoRAI Amsterdam website.
A total of 291,717 people visited AutoRAI 2015, the largest auto show in the Netherlands, which took place between April 17th and 26th. That is an increase of more than 21 thousand compared to the number of people that visited the 2011 edition, the event organizers announced on their website on Sunday.
