Sunny day Friday should hit 20 degrees
Despite dense fog in the northwestern half in the country and mist in the rest on Friday morning, today is likely to be the first warm, sunny day of spring this year.
The Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) reports that the fog and mist will dissipate halfway through the morning and the rest of the day will be sunny with only occasional cloud cover. Temperatures are expected to rise up to between 15 degrees on the Wadden and 23 degrees in the southeast of the country.
On Friday night clouds will start pulling in again. Saturday is expected to be a cloudy day with occasional rain, with only the northeast of the country having some sun in the morning. The maximum temperatures will be between 11 degrees along the coast to 17 degrees in the east of the country.
