Hundreds respond to call for MH17 witnesses

The government has received more than 300 responses to last week's internationally distributed call for witnesses in the flight MH17 investigation, De Telegraaf reports. According to a spokesperson for the National Prosecution Office, there are "to all appearances, a few dozen serious witnesses" who will be questioned. Many of the tips came from eastern Ukraine, where the Malaysia Airlines flight was shot down in July last year. The Joint Investigation Team so far received 170 emails, 135 phone calls, one tip via Skype and one tip via the Russian version of Facebook, VK.
