One killed, one hurt in Rotterdam area shootings

There were two shooting incidents in Rotterdam last night, leaving one dead and one injured. The first shooting happened in a car park in Ridderkerk. One man was killed. Several shots were fired. The police received a report of shots fired around 23:45 last night. According to the police, the victim was found in his car on Seringenplantsoen. He has not yet been identified. A local resident saw a car driving off at high speed after the shooting. No one has been arrested yet. A 20 year old Rotterdam resident was injured in another shooting on Bergselaan in Rotterdam-Noord. Local residents reported hearing gunfire around 21:15 last night. The man was shot in his lower body and is in critical condition in hospital. The circumstances of the shooting is still unclear. The perpetrator(s) fled after the shooting. The police arrested one 23 year old man based on witness statements. The suspect is being questioned to determine his involvement in the shooting. Shots were also fired at homes of local residents.
