Dutch exports jump 10 pct; eighth straight month of growth

The volume of exported goods in the Netherlands increased in January for the 8th month in a row. The exports in January was 10.2 percent higher than in January 2014, the highest growth since 2011. This is according to figures that Statistics Netherlands published today. Both the export of Dutch products and re-exports increased in January. Exports in petroleum products, machinery and equipment showed the highest increase. There was also a slight increase in the export of food and beverages, transport equipment and chemicals. The volume of imports also increased in January - 4.2 percent higher than in January 2014.
