Ajax youth players attack cop, three arrested

Three Ajax youth players were arrested last night for assaulting a police officer wearing civilian clothes, De Telegraaf reports. The trio blocked the officer's way on Oudekerkerdijk in Amsterdam. The police woman hooted her car horn several times. The three suspects stormed her, pulled her out her car, threw her violently to the ground and ran off. The officer suffered a broken collarbone and several abrasions and bruises. The police immediately asked the public for help finding the perpetrators through Burgernet. The three were arrested near Van der Madeweg after a tip from a local resident. The suspects are Ajax A1 attacker Zakaria El A., captain Ashraf El M. and the 19 year old striker Samet B. According to an Ajax spokesperson, the club is aware of the incident. "It is a serious matter, but before we form an opinion, we want to know exactly what happened and who did what." the spokesperson said to the newspaper.
