More arrests after Rozenburg pot plantation fire
Police arrested five people in connection to a pot plantation fire in Rozenburg last month.
A 41-year-old Rozenburg man was immediately arrested after the incident took place, on February 16. His arrest, which was on suspicion of arson and marijuana cultivation, led authorities to investigate two other pot farms in the South Holland town.
While no more plants were found on a farm on the Esdoornlaan, police report that over 100 plants were found on a farm on the Laan van Nieuwblankenburg. Police arrested a 53-year-old man from Rozenburg and a 69-year-old man from Portugal in connection with the properties.
Upon further investigation, police identified two other allegedly involved parties. Both are 39-year-old men, one from Geervliet and the other from Zuidland. They were detained on March 4 and 5.
All suspects were released after questioning.
