Winter weather gave drivers headaches in February

The winter weather caused more traffic problems last month than in February 2014. The severity of the traffic problems (the length of the jam and the time it lasted) was 50 percent higher than last year. This is according to figures published by the ANWB yesterday. The winter weather especially caused problems in the beginning of the month. On February 5th snow an slickness disrupted traffic in many parts of the country, causing a traffic jam of more than 500 kilometers at its peak. Two days later ice in the north of the Netherlands resulted in several highways being closed and a number of accidents.
