Man shot leaving Amsterdam postal center

A man was shot on Australiëweg in the Westelijk Havengebied of Amsterdam around 11:00 p.m. Tuesday. The incident occurred not far from a postal sorting office. According to a police spokesperson, the victim was taken to the hospital, AD reports. The perpetrator is still at large. The police are looking for a light-skinned man in a dark-colored car. The are has been closed off for a trace evidence investigation. It is not yet clear whether this is another attempted execution connected to the gang war that has been raging in Amsterdam. According to the police it is still too early to draw conclusions A burning car was found shortly after the incident along the A2 at Ouderkerk aan de Amstel. The police are investigating whether this was the getaway car.
