Greeks protest austerity on Dam Square

A few hundred Greek protesters held a demonstration on Dam Square yesterday. They protested solidarity with Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras' new government, Dichtbij reports. In their own words, they are angry about the European Union's "blackmail" against Greece. The demonstrations took place across Europe, including demonstrations in Madrid, Rome, Paris and London. The protest in Amsterdam happened without incident.
