Luxury goods stolen off Schiphol planes; four arrested

The Koninklijke Marechaussee (Royal Military Police) arrested four men between the ages of 27 and 42 years during an investigation into the theft of luxury goods from airplanes at Schiphol airport. The Marechaussee launched the investigation in mid November after receiving a report from an airline at the airport. The investigation revealed that the stolen goods, which include expensive watches, bracelets and pens, were offered for sale on the internet. In early December various luxury goods were found in the homes of two men (aged 40 and 41) from Hoofddorp and Amsterdam. Both suspects work at an airline. The suspects were arrested and accused of theft and receiving stolen goods. The other two suspects, aged 27 and 42 years from Amsterdam and Duivendrecht, were arrested last week and on Tuesday. They offered the items for sale on the internet. They are charged with receiving stolen goods.
