Third suspect held in Den Haag road rage shooting
The third suspect in the shooting incident on Soetdijkseplein turned himself in to the police on Wednesday night.
With the arrest of this suspect, a 25 year old from Den Haag, the police have now arrested all three suspects of the traffic altercation that eventually led to the shooting incident in Soesdijkseplein.
Yesterday morning two motorists got into an argument. One driver threatened the other with (possibly) an iron staff. The other motorist pulled a gun and fired a shot. The two then drove after each other, leading to a collision on Erasmusweg with different cars.
A 30 year old man from IJsselstein was slightly wounded in the shooting. He was taken to the hospital for treatment and the immediately arrested as a suspect. The second driver, who probably fired the shot, fled the scene after the collision. The shooter's passenger, a 36 year old from Den Haag, was arrested on Erasmusweg.
After the incident the police launched an extensive investigation into the runaway suspect. They searched for the suspect at various locations and determined the suspect's identity. The suspect was finally arrested when he decided to turn himself in at the police station in Laak.
