Surrogacy-for-hire causing concerns in NL

The Dutch Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology worries about commercial surrogacy - an illegal practice in the Netherlands. During a broadcast of Dit is de Dag Onderzoek on Monday, a spokes person of the Society that surrogacy for commercial purposes can be dangerous for everyone involved, including the child. Surrogacy is only allowed in the Netherlands under strict conditions. Charging money for carrying a baby for someone else, is forbidden. The program shows that women nevertheless offer surrogacy for big money on the internet.
