Big fire in Hague center, arsonist arrested
In The Hague, firemen responded to a large-scale fire in a home on the Beeklaan on Tuesday night, the fire was under control at around 2 a.m., and one man has been arrested, Omroep West reports.
The fire was started in an attic room in a historic building in the center of the city, and spread down to lower floors. Neighboring apartments and shops have been damaged by smoke and water.
Although there were many people in the building at the time, Omroep West writes that nobody has been injured.
One man was arrested, however. According to reports, he admitted to the police that he started the fire. He was immediately arrested.
