Parliament honours MH17 victims today

As the bodies of nine victims of flight MH17 have been transported to Malaysia today, the Dutch Parliament will honor the victims again at 2 p.m., at the beginning of the first meeting after the summer recess. All 298 passengers and crew of flight MH17 were killed as flight MH17 was shot down over eastern Ukraine. Of these victims, 196 had a Dutch passport. The Senate will also honor the victims on the 9th of September. Prime Minister Rutte will be present at both commemorations ceremonies. In Kuala Lumpur, the flight carrying nine victims from the crash has landed. They were welcomed home with a ceremony. According to the NOS, two of these victims have Dutch passports, but will be buried in Malaysia.
