Randstad train disruptions continue
In the Randstad, the train traffic network is very disrupted on Monday. Due to faults in signals, switches and electricity, traffic from and to Schiphol is almost at a standstill. The Algemeen Dagblad reports that it is unclear when this problem will be solved.
Between Leiden, Haarlem and Schiphol, an electrical fault means that there are no trains at all. It is as of yet unclear when this will be solved. Travelers between Leiden and Haarlem have to make use of replacement bus services.
Between Schiphol and Amsterdam-Zuid there are fewer trains due to a signal fault. It is expected that this will last until 12.30 this afternoon.
In the morning, traffic was problematic on the busy line between Woerden, Breukelen, The Hague, Rotterdam, Utrecht and Waddinxveen. This was caused by a track switch fault.
Inland towards Ede-Wageningen, there were no trains until 9.30 due to a collision with a person. The trains have since started riding again, but travelers have been warned that schedules are still disrupted.
