Police break up Brabant meth lab

Police investigators discovered a drug lab in Moergestel, Noord Brabant Thursday morning. Specialists are working on the safe disposal of the chemicals found at the scene, police say.

The lab was found on a farm on Heuvelstreet after the police received an anonymous tip. Based on the chemicals and equipment found, the police determined that the lab was used to produce amphetamine drugs. This kind of laboratory poses a significant risk in a residential area, police said in a statement. Both the production and storage of the chemicals are very dangerous. The cleanup team have begun the process of sampling and disposing the chemicals. Further research will be done to determine exactly what substances were involved. The police have asked witnesses of similar drug operations to contact them.
