Dutch mosques condemn ISIS terrorism

The organization that calls itself the Islamic State, IS formerly ISIS, has been condemned by the Dutch Contact Institution Muslims and Government (CMO). In a statement published Thursday, the institution says that it is "shameful" that some muslim youths have proclaimed themselves sympathizers of IS, seeing the organization's "inhuman practices and terror acts", De Volkskrant reports. CMO is an institution that speaks on behalf of 380 mosques in The Netherlands. The Institution states that the Dutch muslim community has to exercise its responsibility, and "be alert for youths that are in danger of slipping away." The muslim community speaks through CMO to say that it is in no way tied to IS, and feels no support of the organization's practices.
