Escaped felon caught in HEMA

The 44-year-old convicted psychiatric patient who did not return to his clinic for mandatory treatment in Venray has been arrested, according to the NOS. Somebody signaled the police when they saw him in the HEMA in Maarssen. The television program Opsporing Verzocht aired a piece about the man, René de L. on Tuesday night, explaining that the psychiatric patient did not report himself back to De Rooyse Wissel clinic in Oostrum near Venray on the 31st of July after an unsupervised, trial leave period. The episode of Opsporing Verzocht aired a photograph of the runaway patient, which the person who was shopping in Maarssen recognized him from. Patients from the clinic sent a letter to Limburg television channel L1, explaining that De L. had been missing for several days, and that they were worried, the NOS writes. In 2006, the psychiatric patient De L. was convicted of attempted murder. He is now being brought back to the clinic in Oostrum
