TNT impostor robs elderly woman
A home on the Dolfijnhof in Amsterdam Noord was robbed Wednesday morning. One of the men was posing as a TNT employee, wearing a jacket from the postal service.
The 84-year-old resident of the home found two men in front of her door at around 8.30 in the morning on Wednesday. Because one of the men was wearing a TNT jacket, the woman trustingly opened the door.
The men pushed the woman inside, where she was bound. According to police, the men then scoured the house and left. It is unclear what they took.
The woman was left unharmed, but in a state of complete shock. The suspects have not yet been arrested.
Police are looking for witnesses to the robbery on the Dolfijnhof. The suspects are dark skinned, one of them was around 25 years of age and was wearing a dark jacket with the TNT logo on it. He was also carrying a notepad. Witnesses can call the police on 0900-8844.
In May this year, two men robbed a money courier in Utrecht. One of them was wearing a PostNL jacket.
