Break-in at Rotterdam hostel

A hostel on the Coolsestraat in Rotterdam was broken into on Monday evening at around 11.30. Police say that a staff member was threatened with a weapon, but that nobody was injured. It is unclear whether the robber made away with anything. According to the police, an unidentified man with dark skin, black clothing and bag, and red sneakers, entered the garden of the hostel that evening, where guests were still sitting at the time. The suspect demanded money, and threatened a female staff member with a gun. The suspect then reportedly fled in the direction of the Weena, not having injured anyone or stolen anything, according to the report.
