Armed robbery video surfaces; four caught in shoot-out

Police have closed a stretch of the A27 highway after catching four armed robbers fleeing the scene of a jewelry store heist in Breda. At least three of the suspects are believed to have robbed the Shivani jeweler on Haagdijk nearly 45 kilometers south from where police caught up to them in Nieuwland, Zuid Holland. The arrest happened around 2:0 p.m. after a short chase. Police said shots were fired, but they did not specify if shots were fired in the store, at the scene of the arrest, or both. Police say one of the alleged robbers was injured, but they have not yet revealed how or where. A video acquired by Dutch website GeenStijl purportedly shows three robbers escaping the scene, with at least two holding handguns. Part of the A27 has been closed Friday afternoon while police attempt to collect evidence. Reports suggest the highway could be closed until at least 8:30 p.m.
