Arrest made in Zwolle kebab shop explosion
Police in Zwille have apprehended a second suspect in the case of an explosion that ravaged a shoarma restaurant in March. The suspect is a 19-year old man from Zwolle.
The first suspect, a 20-year old man from Zwolle, was arrested earlier this month, and is still in custody.
The explosion in the restaurant on the 'Oude Vismarkt' destroyed the facade of the building, and forced residents out of their home as a fire was spreading. The homes were inhabitable.
A police investigation made a strong argument that the explosion was intentional. Security footage shows two men standing in front of the building shortly prior to the explosion, and then running away suddenly. No background about the explosion has yet been made public.
