A 5-year old boy from Leeuwarden died on Saturday as a result of the wounds he suffered after being hit by a car in Sint Annaparochie. The victim was playing outside in the street on Saturday evening on the Oudebildtijk when a car controlled by a 40-year old driver from Sint Jacobiparochie collided with him, Blik op Nieuws reports. The boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He died there from his wounds in the course of the evening. The police launched an investigation into the accident. The driver of the car said that the boy suddenly crossed the road, and that an accident was unavoidable.
