Police on Monday arrested three men in connection with a shooting incident that left one man dead in Rotterdam Friday.

A 29-year-old man from Rotterdam had died during the shooting incident at Paul Krügerstraat in Rotterdam-Zuid. Police say officers had been directed to the area around 6.50pm after receiving reports of shots being fired there. When they reached the scene, the Rotterdammer was lying on the ground, bleeding. He died on the spot.

The men who were gave themselves up on Monday are a 24-year-old from Rotterdam, a 39-year-old from Delft and a 22-year-old from The Hague. Police say they had decided to surrender, because they knew it was just going to be a matter of time before they were arrested by police.
