An armed man attempted to rob fast food restaurant the Kiosk in Venray on Sunday evening around 6:40, but was chased away by the owner. The man came in and threatened to shoot, demanding money. An employee called his boss, who proceeded to hurl insults at the robber, and promptly chased him away. The robber ran for the hills without his loot. A similar robbery happened at one o'clock on Saturday morning, when a man entered a home on Lathyrus in Venray. The robber was also armed, and stole some money before fleeing. The incident at the restaurant involves a slim, light-skinned man with a goatee, according to the police. He is around 1.75 meters tall, between 20 and 25 years of age. He was wearing a black jacked, red track pants with white stripes and a black cap with white letters. Police are asking witnesses to contact them.
