Man who died in polling station was "biggest Oranje fan"

The elderly man who died at the voting booth during the municipal council elections on 19 March was 83-year old Oranje superfan, Cees van Groesen. The 83-year old man wasn't feeling well when he entered the booth in Oosterhout, and collapsed. Attempted resuscitation did not work, and he passed away. Van Groesen has been to 19 finals matches of the Dutch national team. He also had tickets for the World Cup in Brazil, the Algemeen Dagblad report. In 1961, the man from Oosterhout saw Oranje play for the first time, and was hooked ever since. He went to almost all of the Euro Cups and World Cups. He only missed the 1986 World Cup in Mexico. Van Groesen has also had a season ticket from the NAC for more than 60 years, and also visited the World Championship Bicycle Racing almost 50 times.
