Carnaval partiers mug ice cream girl

A Belgian ice-cream girl was robbed of her daily yield by 3 dressed-up suspects, Sunday. The thieves are still at large. The 22-year-old ice-cream girl was driving a white Renault Master with a Belgian license plate, selling ice-cream from her van.

While on her rounds, the suspects approached the van around 20:15 on the Hoevebroek in Breda. The victim assumed they were customers, until one of them suddenly grabbed her and pulled her down, and the contents of her register was stolen. The three took off on foot toward the bike lane of the Backer en Ruebweg. Although police locked down the area, a search remained fruitless. A 'burgernet' alert did not render any results either. The victim was unharmed, but emotionally shaken. The police report did not mention any weapons involved. The ice-cream girl was not able to describe the third suspect, but the one who grabbed her was dark-skinned and had frizzy hair. He wore a so-called Venetian mask. The second suspect wore a tight-fitting silver-colored costume, a silver-colored mask and had glitters on his face.
