NAM receives 14,000 damage reports

The Dutch Oil Company (NAM) received 14,000 damage reports since the earthquake in Huizinge in August 2012, announce the company during a meeting about gas drilling in the townhouse in Groningen, where experts updated city council and provincial council members. The NAM has paid out €50 million in damages between August 16 2012 (the day of the heavy earthquake in Huizinge) and December 31, 2013.

Minister Kamp anticipates a total of €250 million euros in damages over the next five years, due to gas drilling. When asked what the experts expect about future damages, the NAM referred to minister Kamp's statement. The latest earthquake, last week Thursday in the early morning near Leermens, resulted in 950 damage reports.
