Woman killed in car accident on A28, Putten

A woman was killed in a collision on the A28 in Putten on Wednesday night. A private vehicle hit the woman(49) when she wanted to cross the road to get to the Esso filling station. According to eye witnesses, the woman was driving in a van from Putten to Nijkerk with a man, when the vehicle stopped at the side of the road near the filling station. The accident occurred around 2 a.m. The emergency services shut down the highway between Putten and Amersfoort for some time.
