Bus Drivers Thanked For Storm Help

The Wintercircus Amsterdam group thanked the city's public transportation company for saving their performance venue with hundreds of free tickets for the company's staff, and their family and friends. The GVB provided a bus which served as a wind shelter, and successfully protected the circus' tent during the wind storm this week. The GVB sent the bus after the fire department responded to an emergency call there. Performers from the Wintercircus Amsterdam (handout photo) "We are offering workers 500 free tickets in order to express our gratitude for helping our circus," the performance group said in a statement on Tuesday afternoon. "We hope that many drivers will visit our show." The Wintercircus Amsterdam runs through January 5 next to the Amsterdam ArenA. Staff interested in getting the free tickets are asked to contact the GVB directly.
