De Mol bids €373 million for SBS

Dutch media tycoon John de Mol is planning to take full control of Dutch television broadcaster SBS. De Mol wants to acquire remaining 67% stake in SBS from Sanoma Publishing for €373 million, Het Financiële Dagblad reports, citing the company sources. In 2011, De Mol and Sanoma acquired SBS’s Dutch assets, including SBS6, Net 5, Veronica and the Veronica TV guide, for about €1 billion from ProSieben.
