Shootout Robbery in Osdorp

Armed robbers fired a gun inside a store on Amsterdam's Osdorpplein after they tried to smash a jewelry case. Nobody was injured during the robbery. Two men struck the shop window with a heavy object at about 11:30 a.m. on Friday morning. They fired three or four shots inside, and quickly fled the store. They escaped from the scene by scooter. Investigation into a shooting at a jewlery store on Osdorpplein (MonneBoy/Twitter) Winessess at the scene told broadcaster AT5 that the balaclava-clad robbers caused a "considerable panic" at the Shoperade shopping center. The area around the jewelry store was closed off Friday while police officers investigated the robbery and collected evidence. Nobody is in custody at this time. Police have requested witnesses, and anybody with knowledge of the crime, contact them directly.
