Number Of Female University Students Rising
Over the last 30 years, the massive increase in the number of Dutch university students is almost entirely attributable to women entering education, according to the figures released by Ministry of Education.
Trouw.nl reports that, over the last three decades, the number of university students increased by 84,000, including 74,000 female and only 10,000 male students.
Jos Claessen of Open University said these figures are "sensational."
According to Education Minister Jet Bussemaker, the jobs market still does not recognize this trend. Employers should recognize women’s qualities.
