The car with the trailer was hit on the Prinsenweg by an oncoming car, driven by a 75-year-old woman from Nijkerk. At that time the wounded cycled on the narrow road on the outskirts of the Gelder place. The trailer fell over, and besides hitting the 49-year-old Amsterdam woman, it also hit the bike of the 57-year-old grandmother and the baby, also from Amsterdam.
