Van Persie Top Scorer Qualifications

Robin van Persie is the most productive player of the European World Cup qualifications. With 11 goals in 687 minutes, van Persie made one goal more than runner up Edin Dzeko from Bosnia, who scored ten goals in 900 minutes. The third position is held by another Bosnian, Vedad Ibisevic, and the German Mesut Özil, who both scored eight goals during the qualifications. The English Wayne Rooney holds the fourth position with seven goals. On Friday van Persie also became the most productive player ever for the Dutch national team. The Dutch team scored 34 goals in ten qualification games. Only Germany scored more, 36 goals in ten games.
