The Dutch embassy in Sudan advised its compatriots to stay in as much as possible. The advice follows violent protests in the country against the abolition of subsidy on fuel. For three days, riots erupt in various parts of the country. The protesters vandalize, start fires at gas stations, and call for the resignation of President al-Bashir. There have already been six deaths due to the violence in  the capital Khartoum.
