Global Innovation Index 2013

The Netherlands ranked no. 4 in the Global Innovation Index 2013 (GII). Global Innovation Index 2013 (GII) indicates the most innovative countries this year. The no. 1 spot still belongs to Switzerland. Sweden and the United Kingdom are on the second and third places respectively. Geneva, Switzerland

World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Director-General Francis Gurry said that dynamic innovations hubs are growing worldwide even with the tough situation the international economy is currently experiencing. “These hubs influence local advantages with a global outlook on markets and talent,” Gurry said. Other countries that made it to the top 10 list (in order) are: United States of America, Finland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Denmark, and Ireland.
