Rich Without Knowing

A man from Groningen was unaware that he had been a millionaire for almost half a year now. This week he discovered that he had won the State lottery jackpot of 2.02 million euro in December 2012. Nu.nl reported that early in April the State lottery started a search for the winner with the help of Groningen media. After reading a message in a paper, the man decided to look for his ticket and found out he got lucky. A winning ticket remains valid for a year. Last year the State lottery searched for the owner of a ticket worth 100 thousand euro. However, they did not find the winner in time so the money went into the state treasury.
