Painkillers and Tights for Orange Fans

The supermarkets, sandwich shops and snack bars are filled with hungry people. The shops selling other items are also busy. Almost all the stores and hospitality venues at the Amsterdam Central Station are open on Queen's Day. The Hema sold a remarkable number of tights. “The weather is a bit disappointing, so many girls wearing short pants had to pay a quick visit to buy tights,” Suzanne, a shop assistant, said. Make-up and orange items are also popular. In the course of the day, sales are expected to shift to food, like their popular sausage, the Hema rookworst. Nu.nl reports that the nature shop is selling a lot of painkillers and blister plasters. “And it’s only morning.”
