Woman Stabbed To Death

A stabbing at a house in Reek took the life of a woman from the North Brabant village. A 10-year-old son and daughter were also at the home. The boy was injured in the Sunday incident and taken to a hospital, though the girl was not physically harmed. The male occupant of the house was arrested, the police announced. Late in the evening the seriously injured woman appeared at her neighbors' house appealing for help. Ambulance staff treated her upon arrival at the scene, but the help came to no avail. The victim died on the spot. The police could not say anything about the circumstances. The area surrounding the Kerkpad in Reek, where the fatal stabbing took place, was closed for investigation.
