Sex Boats Closed

Six prostitution boats at het Zandpad in the city of Utrecht have to close their windows by Thursday. The two owners of 24 windows are suspected of human trafficking and will lose their permit. The municipality also blames the operators of failing to properly supervise prostitutes, causing danger to both the women and public order. NOS.nl reported that the city of Utrecht started in 2010 with a stricter policy to prevent human trafficking. Part of the policy is the obligation to register all women. Het Zandpad houses between 35 and 40 boats with a total of 144 prostitution windows.
