Northern lights
May 8 '18 13:10

People wanting to see the northern lights usually have to go to Northern Europe, but this week this beautiful natural phenomenon is also visible above the northern parts of the Netherlands, RTL Nieuws reports.

The northern lights are hard to see with the naked eye, but show up beautifully on long exposure photos. In the Netherlands the northern lights are only visible a few days per year. The phenomenon is caused by solar wind - bursts of plasma clouds on the sun.
