Ahmed M., a sergeant of the Dutch Air Force who defected in 2015 and is suspected of joining terrorist organization ISIS, was placed on the national terrorist list, RTL Nieuws reports. This means that his assets were frozen and he can no longer get money from anyone else in the Netherlands.
Children taking part in the conflict in Syria can be a considered a threat from the age of 9 years and will henceforth be added to the terrorism list in the Netherlands, intelligence service AIVD confirmed
The number of names on the Netherlands' national terrorism list doubled over the past year. There are now 39 individuals and three organizations on the list, Minister Bert Koenders of Foreign Affairs announced on Sunday, on the eve of of a large international conference on terrorism in The Hague.
Another eight suspected Dutch jihadists have been added to the national terrorist watch list, bringing the total number of people and organizations on this list up to 40. These eight people ware believed to be involved in terrorist activities in Syria and Iraq, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Thursday.
