Inés "was sick and could not be cured", Queen Maxima said about her youngest sister's death. "Our only comfort is that she has now found peace", the Dutch Queen said after paying a visit to the UMCG Proton Therapy Center in Groningen on Tuesday, ANP reports.
Inés Zorreguieta suffered from depression. She committed suicide on June 6th at the age of 33.

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima are grateful for all the expressions of support and sympathy they received after the death of Maxima's sister Inés Zorreguieta, the Dutch King said upon arrival in Riga on Sunday evening. The first results of forensic investigation revealed that Inés Zorreguieta, Queen Maxima's younger sister, was not killed in a crime. This was evident from an autopsy done on Ines' body, as is customary when suicide is suspected, RTL Nieuws reports.
