The police are busy with a major action in The Hague, particularly focused on the Ypenburg district, on Tuesday morning. Over 30 apartments were raided in the early morning hours. The police suspect that criminals stay in these apartments - they're rented out, but officially no one is registered as living there, NOS reports.
Home share platform Airbnb launched a hotline for people living in the vicinity of Airbnb-locations. On this hotline Airbnb neighbors can register complaints from noise to illegal rentals, the company announced on Wednesday.
The city of Amsterdam plans to experiment with a number of measures in an effort to keep the capital a livable environment with the growing number of residents and visitors. One of these measures is making the Nieuwmarkt a car-free zone.
