The lower house of Dutch parliament mostly approves of the agreements the Euro-countries reached on debt relief for Greece, NU.nl reports after talking to the parliamentary parties.
The European Union have reached an agreement on a rescue package for Greece. The financially troubled country has to implement substantial reforms, including pension reforms and tax measures, in exchange for between 82 and 86 billion euros from the European rescue fund ESM over the next three years.
Prime Minister Mark Rutte is hammering the Greek government to replace the reforms the country rejected with other measures. The European Union is currently still busy with a marathon Summit in Brussels on the Greek debt crisis. The European leaders are considering a compromise proposal on providing further support for the financially unstable country.
