An English cyclist managed to get his head stuck between the narrow bars of a fence after crashing into it while on riding his bike. The accident happened Friday morning just after midnight in Amsterdam while the man was riding on Veemkade along the IJ river.

A court in East Brabant sentenced 45-year old Willy Selten to 30 months in prison for falsifying invoices, delivery notes and written statements, and using these fake documents in meat trading in two companies. Selten denied knowingly tampering with meat and claimed the fraud incident only to be an administrative error in late March.

Police in the U.K. are looking for two men accused of threatening underage Army cadets outside a reserve base in Gateshead, England, Northumbria police said in a statement on Friday. The threats, including those of beheading, were shouted from a car apparently with Dutch license plates, local newspaper Chronicle reported.

The Dutch Coast Guard confirmed this morning that the two bodies that were found on the French coast yesterday were indeed crew members of the missing fishing boat Z-85 Morgenster. The bodies are those of a 45 year old man from Urk and a 64 year old Belgian.
